Collaboration Summit

The 2nd Annual Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit took place from April 8-10 in Austin, TX and was hosted by IBM.

“The Linux Foundation Collaboration Summit is the only place where key leaders and stakeholders in Linux come together to discuss the most important issues facing the operating system,” said Jim Zemlin, executive director at The Linux Foundation. “This year we saw breakthroughs in driver support for the desktop, IPV6 compliance and virtualization. We feel it’s an important venue for solving cross-industry and cross-community issues.”

With a 30% increase in attendance over last year’s event, a great distribution of attendees - including leaders from the kernel community, desktop, industry and end users communities – and numerous discussions, workgroups and real-time problem-solving on-site, this year’s event proved to be a complete success.
